We won’t lie to ourselves, we like receiving these little gifts but they are almost never used and sometimes represent a lot of money. So one day, Frederic Mazzella, Georges Basdevant, Maxence Mathey, Clara Pigé et Nathanaël Romano woke up with a brilliant idea: what if we use this money to have a much better impact. Frederic & Georges decided to create something BIG: Captain Cause! To keep it simple, it’s a platform that connects companies with social and environmental causes through the financing of impact projects, by involving their customers, partners and employees in the choice of these projects. Captain Cause unlocks a new source of funding for causes that address today’s major challenges. In practice: companies redirect marketing and communication budgets to fund associations, in a participatory manner: it is their community that chooses the projects to be to support. We told you, it’s brilliant! 🤩

And last week the team has raised 3,5m€ to give a new meaning to marketing budgets and we are part of this round through dastore, our latest fund dedicated to digital retail. 
More than 30 associations are already on the platform, selected by the team, which prioritizes long-term projects in the environmental, social and health fields. And this is just the beginning!
