“We are mutants”, “The first VC-as-a-platform”, “We want to digitize an old industry”… You probably heard these sentences a few times, but what does it really mean? What have we done since 2016 apart from investing in 28 kickass companies? Well, the daphni team worked hard to make this happen: daphni is a VC-as-a-platform. So let’s make this long and unfinished story short, so you can understand everything today.

OK, where should I start? I just realized this a lot to tell, but folks you know me, I don’t want this edito to be boring.
First thing first, not that I think that you came down in the last shower, let me remind you what platformization means. Platforms are open intermediary interfaces through which suppliers and customers meet: Deezer, Blablacar, Amazon… they all have in common the platform model.
At daphni, being VC-as-a-platform means that we have built a digital platform to make us more efficient, collaborative and transparent in our investment process. The platform is a growth accelerator on every step of the VC value chain: access the best opportunities, select the good deals, be chosen by quality founders, optimize scale and ensure best funding & exit options. Anyway, with this platform, the daphni team becomes more than just +10 people in a very cool and colorful office located in the Silicon Sentier, we are a real community of +300 talented people, creating collective intelligence. We told you folks, we are stronger together!

Like our startups, we want to disrupt the VC world, to digitize the processes. The platform connects us and our community with startups from the moment they apply. Moreover, some investors have instantaneous access to the overall fund performance and can create co-investment opportunities. Once a startup is in da house, a selection of experts can help if needed. You get it, everybody wins.
